Established back in April 1949 by Benjamin John Bennett, Bennett’s has experience that other companies can only dream of! Benjamin, or Ben as he was known, started the business shortly after leaving the R.A.F in 1949. His first venture was pedal cycles, which he sold and repaired, most of them were for other local businesses who used cycles to make their deliveries. The first shop was opened very close to the current premises and after a short time sales had soared and a successful business was established.

Bennetts continued to grow and during the 1970's 80's & 90's became one of the leading Honda dealers in the North of England. This partnership went unblemished for almost 35 years until Honda failed to supply the U.K price demands in the early 1990s.

In the early 2000's Russell Bennett took control of the business and soon found himself interested in the Italian brands MV Agusta & Benelli. He went on to become one of the most respected technicians in the industry and is still involved with factory technical assistance.

Russell can still be found in the workshop getting his hands dirty and employs only qualified mechanics who are not only trained in the rudiments of one machine but qualified to service all the latest machines from all over the world.
