The company has a long and successful association with Mercedes-Benz and operated retailers in Chichester and Haslemere prior to being awarded the South West Market Area when the manufacturer reorganised its retail network in 2001. Amidst the company’s ongoing success, Chairman Anthony Wickins, who founded the company in 1977, is determined that family values will remain at the heart of Mercedes-Benz South West for many years to come. Since being selected as one of Mercedes-Benz key business partners, Mercedes-Benz South West has enjoyed fantastic success and recorded some significant business achievements. This included undertaking a multi-million-pound investment programme to create four state-of-the-art automotive retailing outlets aimed at enhancing sales and after sales facilities for customers across the region. Mercedes-Benz of Exeter was the first of the new generation of Mercedes-Benz outlets to be unveiled in the UK when it commenced trading in January 2002 and it was followed by the opening of equally impressive premises across the West Country including Mercedes-Benz of Taunton ( 2004), Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth (2005) and Mercedes-Benz of Truro (2007).
